Spiced Cranberry Cider
Appliance: Slow Cooker - 4 quarts and larger

Ingredients
   1 quart (32 ounces) cranberry juice
   2 quarts (64 ounces) apple cider
   1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
   3 cinnamon sticks
   12 whole cloves
   1 whole orange, sliced


Directions
Stir together cranberry juice, cider and sugar in the crock or inner bowl of your slow cooker until sugar has mostly dissolved. Add spices and orange slices. Cover and cook on High for one hour, or Low for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

To serve, reduce slow cooker to Keep Warm. Using a slotted spoon or spider, remove orange slices and spices and discard. Ladle the hot cider mixture into mugs, being sure to test temperature before serving small children.
