Sloppy Joe Sliders
Ingredients
   1 tablespoon cooking oil
   2 pounds ground beef
   1 small onion, finely diced (1 to 1 1/2 cups)
   2 stalks of celery, finely diced (3/4 cup)
   1 red or green bell pepper, finely diced (3/4 cup)
   2 cloves garlic, minced
   2 cups ketchup-based American chili sauce (like Heinz) OR ketchup
   1/2 cup water
   1/4 cup brown sugar
   1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
   2 tablespoons of yellow mustard
   Small dinner rolls, Hawaiian rolls or slider buns, for serving


Directions
NOTE: This recipe makes about 16 small sized sandwiches. When doubling the recipe, you may have to brown the meat in stages in your rice cooker, depending on it's capacity. Alternatively, the meat may be browned using the Brown or Saute setting of a Multi-Cooker, in an Electric Skillet or in a large skillet on the stove-top.

Heat oil in rice cooker's inner bowl. Crumble beef into rice cooker and add onions, celery, bell pepper and garlic. Cook until beef is no longer pink, stirring occasionally and breaking up large pieces of meat. Drain off excess fat.

Add meat mixture to slow cooker's inner crock or bowl. Stir in the chili sauce (or ketchup), water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Cover and cook on High for 2-3 hours, or Low 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally.

Serve on buns or rolls.
