Filipino Chicken Adobo
Appliance: Slow Cooker - 4 quarts and larger.

Filipino Chicken Adobo
   4 chicken leg quarters
   1 white onion, sliced
   8 cloves garlic, crushed
   3/4 cup low sodium soy sauce or gluten-free tamari
   1/2 cup vinegar
   1/2 teaspoon pepper
   3 bay leaves
   2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed

Place chicken and onions in the crock or inner bowl of your slow cooker. In a small bowl mix together the remaining ingredients. Pour over chicken. Cook until chicken reaches 180 degrees(F), 2 1/2 to 4 hours on High or 6 to 8 hours on Low.
