Sloppy Joes (Test Kitchen Recipe)
   1 tablespoon cooking oil
   3/4 pound ground beef
   3/4 pound ground pork
   1/2 an onion, finely diced
1 stalk of celery, finely diced
1/2 a red bell pepper, finely diced
   2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup-based chili sauce (like Heinz)
   1/2 cup ketchup
3/4 cup water (plus additional, if necessary)
   3 tablespoons brown sugar
   1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
   1 tablespoon of yellow mustard
Hamburger buns or other split rolls, for serving

Heat oil in rice cooker's inner bowl. Crumble beef and pork into rice cooker and add onions, celery, bell pepper and garlic. Cook until meat is no longer pink, stirring frequently and breaking up large pieces of meat. Drain off excess fat.

Stir in the chili sauce, ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a little additional water, 2 tablespoons at a time, if sauce becomes too thick.

Serve on buns or rolls.
