Ramen "Spaghetti" with Italian Sausage
Appliance: Rice Cooker - 4 cup capacity and larger.

Ingredients
   1 Italian sausage link (about 1/4 pound)
   1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
   1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning blend (optional)
   3/4 cup water (plus additional, if needed)
   1 package beef flavored ramen noodles
   1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Directions
Cut a long slit in one side of the sausage casing, crumble the meat into the inner bowl of your rice cooker and discard the casing. Push Cook button. Use saute setting, if applicable. Cook, stirring occasionally, until no pink remains, 5 to 7 minutes.

Add tomato sauce, water, oregano (if using), and the flavoring packet from the noodles and stir until well combined. Cover and cook meat sauce, stirring occasionally, for ten minutes. Use simmer setting, if applicable.

Break noodle block into two or three pieces and add to the sauce. Continue to cook, stirring often, until noodles are tender, 3 to 5 minutes, adding additional water, a little at a time, if sauce is too dry. Stir in Parmesan cheese and serve.
