Honey Soy Glazed Salmon Rice Bowl
Appliance: Rice Cooker - 2 to 8 cup capacity with Steamer Basket.

Ingredients
   1/4 cup honey
   1/4 cup soy sauce or gluten-free tamari
   2 tablespoons rice wine (sake)
   1/8 teaspoon garlic chili sauce (Sriracha or sambal oelek), or to taste
   1 cup long-grain white rice
   2 cups water
   2 (4 ounce) salmon filets
   1 cup broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
   1 green onion, thinly sliced (optional)


Directions
In a small bowl, stir together honey, soy sauce, sake and chili sauce until honey has melted and sauce is well blended. Set aside.

Add rice and water to the rice cooker's inner cooking bowl. Place salmon and broccoli in Steamer Basket and place on rice cooker. Spoon about one-quarter of the sauce over salmon. Cover and push Cook button. Use white rice setting, if applicable.

After about ten minutes of cooking, baste the salmon with additional sauce. Stir sauce, if honey has settled out. Working quickly, lift lid from steamer basket and spoon another quarter of the sauce over the fish. Repeat basting step twice more, about 5 minutes apart.

When rice cooker switches to Keep Warm, carefully lift off steamer basket. Fluff rice and stir in broccoli. To serve, scoop rice and broccoli into bowls and lay salmon on top. Garnish with green onions.
