Harvest Spiced Applesauce
Appliance: Rice Cooker - 4 cup capacity and larger.

Harvest Spiced Applesauce
   1/4 to 1/2 cup water
   1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
   4 apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped
   1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
   1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
   1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
   Pinch of cloves
   1/8 teaspoon salt

In the inner bowl of your rice cooker, mix together 1/4 cup of the water and lemon juice. Stir in the apples. Cover and push Cook button. Use porridge or brown rice setting, if available. Cook, stirring occasionally for 20-25 minutes, adding more water if apples appear to be drying out.

Add the brown sugar, spices and salt, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Switch rice cooker to Keep Warm and continue cooking until apples are very tender, about an hour.
