Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs
Appliance: Rice Cooker - 2 cup capacity and larger.

Ingredients
   1 - 6 eggs
   Water (for cooking)
   Ice water bath (for cooling)


Directions
Add eggs to the inner cooking bowl and cover with water by 1 inch. Cover with the lid and push Cook button. Use steam cooking setting, if applicable. As soon as the water comes to a boil, turn off or unplug rice cooker, but leave it covered.

Allow large eggs to rest in the hot water for 17 minutes. 16 minutes for medium eggs, 18 minutes for extra-large eggs.

Using a slotted spoon, transfer cooked eggs to the ice water bath and allow to cool 20 minutes.

NOTE: SIZE MATTERS - Eggs come in different sizes in the US. "Large" eggs are the most common in grocery stores, but medium and extra-large eggs are also available. Check the carton for the size when setting your timer.
