Hot Buttered Rum
Ingredients
   4 cups water
   1 cups dark brown sugar
   1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick), cubed
   2 cinnamon sticks
   4 whole cloves
   1/3 cup rum (or to taste)


Directions
Add all ingredients except rum to the inner bowl of your rice cooker and push Cook button. Use white rice setting. Cook, stirring frequently until the sugar has dissolved, the butter has melted and the mixture is hot, but not boiling, 2 to 5 minutes.

Switch rice cooker to Keep Warm. To serve, measure 1 jigger (1 1/2 ounces or 3 tablespoons) rum into a small coffee cup or Irish coffee cocktail mug and top with about 8 ounces (1 cup) of the hot butter mix.
